20th June 2021, 10 Dzulka'edah 1442H Fruits in Quran and Hadith Bananas ( طَلْحٍ ) وَ طَلْحٍ مَّنضُودٍ "And [banana] trees layered [with fruit]" (Quran 56:29) Dates ( رُطَبًا ) وَهُزِّي إِلَيْكِ بِجِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ تُسَاقِطْ عَلَيْكِ رُطَبًا جَنِيًّا "And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates." (Quran 19:25) Palm tree ( النَّخْلَ ) وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنشَأَ جَنَّاتٍ مَّعْرُوشَاتٍ وَغَيْرَ مَعْرُوشَاتٍ وَ النَّخْلَ وَالزَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفًا أُكُلُهُ وَالزَّيْتُونَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَابِهًا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَابِهٍ ۚ "And He it is who causes gardens to grow, [both] trellised and untrellised, and palm trees and crops of different [kinds of] food and olives and pomegranates, similar and dissimilar."
