ISLAMIC TOURISM

Islamic tourism may be in muslim majority such as Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, etc or muslim minority countries such as China, India, Russia, Germany and many more.

Travel is encourage in Islam as mentioned in Quran. Muslim should travel, for the sake of Allah to open our mind, see Allah's creations, the history of the country and the people, making new friends, get to know the culture, the food and many more.

Global Prayer Times

It is highly encourage for the traveler to determine the prayer times before we travel to any country. So that we can tell the daytime and night time of any particular city. As a traveler, we want to see things during the daytime and having rest at night.

Surat An-Naba' (The Tidings), Chapter 78, Verse 11:

"And made the day for livelihood" (Quran 78:11)

Surat Al-Qaşaş (The Stories), Chapter 28, Verse 73:

"And out of His mercy He made for you the night and the day that you may rest therein and [by day] seek from His bounty and [that] perhaps you will be grateful." (Quran 28:73)

Surat Al-'An`ām (The Cattle), Chapter 6, Verse 60:

"And it is He who takes your souls by night and knows what you have committed by day. Then He revives you therein that a specified term may be fulfilled. Then to Him will be your return; then He will inform you about what you used to do." (Quran 6:60)

"It is Allah who made for you the night that you may rest therein and the day giving sight. Indeed, Allah is full of bounty to the people, but most of the people are not grateful." (Quran 40:61)

"And of His signs is your sleep by night and day and your seeking of His bounty. Indeed in that are signs for a people who listen." (Quran 30:23)

"Do they not see that We made the night that they may rest therein and the day giving sight? Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe." (Quran 27:86)

"It is He who made for you the night to rest therein and the day, giving sight. Indeed in that are signs for a people who listen." (Quran 10:67)

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "O `Abdullah! Have I not been formed that you fast all the day and stand in prayer all night?" I said, "Yes, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)!" He said, "Do not do that! Observe the fast sometimes and also leave them (the fast) at other times; stand up for the prayer at night and also sleep at night. Your body has a right over you, your eyes have a right over you and your wife has a right over you." (Sahih Bukhari)

TRAVEL

Surat Al-`Ankabūt (The Spider), Chapter 29, Verse 20:

"Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how He began creation. Then Allah will produce the final creation. Indeed Allah , over all things, is competent." (Quran 29:20)

Surat An-Naml (The Ant), Chapter 27, Verse 69:

"Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." (Quran 27:69)

"So have they not traveled through the earth and have hearts by which to reason and ears by which to hear? For indeed, it is not eyes that are blinded, but blinded are the hearts which are within the breasts." (Quran 22:46)

"Three supplications are accepted , there is no doubt in them (about them being accepted): The supplication of the oppressed, the supplication of the traveler, and the supplication of his father against his son." (Hadith: Tirmidhi)

LIVING

Living with the locals is the best way to understand and to observe muslim lifestyle. You can book couchsurfing for free accommodation at local house with muslim host. However, muslims may not be perfect. But the religion, Islam is perfect. Always take Prophet Muhammad PBUH as the best role model of muslim and benchmark of Islam.

CUISINE

"O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth [that is] lawful and good and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy." (Quran 2:168)

"O you who have believed, eat from the good things which We have provided for you and be grateful to Allah if it is [indeed] Him that you worship." (Quran 2:172)

"They ask you, [O Muhammad], what has been made lawful for them. Say, "Lawful for you are [all] good foods and [game caught by] what you have trained of hunting animals which you train as Allah has taught you. So eat of what they catch for you, and mention the name of Allah upon it, and fear Allah ." Indeed, Allah is swift in account." (Quran 5:4)

Try to have local halal food. Islam has the same standard of halal food, however the type of food is different depending on the school of thought, culture, climate and the food sources. Every food and drink is permissible (halal), except the prohibited (haram) drink and food. All muslims worldwide are prohibited to drink alcohol and to eat pork.

Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow), Chapter 2, Verse 219:

"They ask you about wine and gambling. Say, "In them is great sin and [yet, some] benefit for people. But their sin is greater than their benefit." And they ask you what they should spend. Say, "The excess [beyond needs]." Thus Allah makes clear to you the verses [of revelation] that you might give thought." (Quran 2:219)

"O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah ], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful."
Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of Allah and from prayer. So will you not desist?" (Quran 5:90-91)

"And from the fruits of the palm trees and grapevines you take intoxicant and good provision. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who reason." (Quran 16:67)

  1. Dead animals
  2. Blood
  3. Pork (the flesh of swine)
  4. Food which has been dedicated to other than Allah
  5. Animals killed by strangling
  6. Animals killed by a violent blow
  7. Animals killed by a head-long fall
  8. Animals killed by the goring of horns
  9. Those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death]
  10. Those which are sacrificed on stone altars
  11. Frog

"He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah . But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." (Quran 2:173)

"Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah , and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altars, and [prohibited is] that you seek decision through divining arrows. That is grave disobedience. This day those who disbelieve have despaired of [defeating] your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." (Quran 5:3)

"Say, "I do not find within that which was revealed to me [anything] forbidden to one who would eat it unless it be a dead animal or blood spilled out or the flesh of swine - for indeed, it is impure - or it be [that slaughtered in] disobedience, dedicated to other than Allah . But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], then indeed, your Lord is Forgiving and Merciful." (Quran 6:145)

"He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah . But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit] - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." (Quran 16:115)

'Abdur Rahman bin 'Uthman al-Qurashi (RAA) narrated, 'A doctor consulted the Prophet (ﷺ) about extracting medicine from a frog but he prohibited killing it.' Related by Ahmad, Abu Dawud and An-Nasai. Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih. [Bulugh al-Maram]

Slaughtering is the most least pain of getting halal meat, by using sharp knive and must be slaughter bfor the sake of Allah by say "Bismillah" and "Allahu Akbar". Slaughtering is for hygiene reason and pure, clean meat.
