Believe in Books of Revelation by Allah

Books of Revelation from Allah swt

Quran is the words of Allah swt. The author of Quran is Allah swt, not Prophet Muhammad pbuh. Quran is the last book of scripture revealed by Allah to Prophet Muhammad pbuh through angel Jibrael (Gibrael) 1400 years ago. Before Quran, Allah swt revealed Taurat (Torah) to Prophet Musa (Moses) pbuh, Zabur (Psalm) to Prophet Daud (David) pbuh and Injil (Gospel) to Prophet Isa (Jesus) pbuh. Verily, Quran is the last book of revelation until the Qiyamat (Last Hour).
Books revealed by Allah swt

Surat Al-`Ankabūt (The Spider), Chapter 29, Verse 27:

"And We bestowed on him [Ibrahim (Abraham)], Ishaque (Isaac) and Ya'qub (Jacob), and ordained among his offspring Prophethood and the Book [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) (to Musa - Moses), the Injeel (Gospel) (to 'Iesa - Jesus), the Quran (to Muhammad SAW), all from the offspring of Ibrahim (Abraham)], and We granted him his reward in this world, and verily, in the Hereafter he is indeed among the righteous." (Quran 29: 27)

Surat An-Nisā' (The Women), Chapter 4, Verse 163:

"Verily, We have inspired you (O Muhammad SAW) as We inspired Nuh (Noah) and the Prophets after him; We (also) inspired Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat [the twelve sons of Ya'qub (Jacob)], 'Iesa (Jesus), Ayub (Job), Yunus (Jonah), Harun (Aaron), and Sulaiman (Solomon), and to Dawud (David) We gave the Zabur (Psalms)." (Quran 4: 163)

We should follow our creator's words as He knows the best for us. Which book of revelation do we need to follow today?

QURAN is the book of truth.

Purpose of Books of Revelation

  • To make our life easier.
  • Allah knows what we do not know.
  • As guidance from Allah.
  • As Furqan, the criterion for right and wrong.

Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow), Chapter 2, Verse 53:

"And (remember) as We brought Musa (Moses) the Book and the all-distinctive Furqan, (Literally: the Criterion for right and wrong) that possibly you would be guided." (Quran 2:53)

Surat Al-'Anfāl (The Spoils of War), Quran 8, Verse 29:

"O you who have believed, if you fear Allah , He will grant you a criterion and will remove from you your misdeeds and forgive you. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty." (Quran 8:29)

Surat Al-Furqān (The Criterian), Chapter 2, Verse 51:

Blessed is He Who sent down the Furqan upon His servant that he may be a warner to the nations;" (Quran 2:51)
  • To know about pre, present and afterlife.

"And indeed, there is among them a party who alter the Scripture with their tongues so you may think it is from the Scripture, but it is not from the Scripture. And they say, "This is from Allah ," but it is not from Allah . And they speak untruth about Allah while they know." (Quran 3:78)

"So woe to those who write the "scripture" with their own hands, then say, "This is from Allah ," in order to exchange it for a small price. Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn." (Quran 2:79)

"Among the Jews are those who distort words from their [proper] usages and say, "We hear and disobey" and "Hear but be not heard" and "Ra'ina," twisting their tongues and defaming the religion. And if they had said [instead], "We hear and obey" and "Wait for us [to understand]," it would have been better for them and more suitable. But Allah has cursed them for their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few." (Quran 4:46)

"So for their breaking of the covenant We cursed them and made their hearts hard. They distort words from their [proper] usages and have forgotten a portion of that of which they were reminded. And you will still observe deceit among them, except a few of them. But pardon them and overlook [their misdeeds]. Indeed, Allah loves the doers of good." (Quran 5:13)

"O Messenger, let them not grieve you who hasten into disbelief of those who say, "We believe" with their mouths, but their hearts believe not, and from among the Jews. [They are] avid listeners to falsehood, listening to another people who have not come to you. They distort words beyond their [proper] usages, saying "If you are given this, take it; but if you are not given it, then beware." But he for whom Allah intends fitnah - never will you possess [power to do] for him a thing against Allah . Those are the ones for whom Allah does not intend to purify their hearts. For them in this world is disgrace, and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment." (Quran 5:41)

Quran is 100% words of Allah revealed to Prophet Muhammad through angel Gabriel. Allah will preserve the Quran until the world end. Allah revealed his words as our guidance and faith, and He sent the prophets to guide us on how to practice the religion, to make our life easier. In Islam, we have faith and practice.

"Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian." (Quran 15:9)

Islam is the religion of truth

Islam means peace. Islam is a beautiful and perfect religion. To know Islam, is by read and understand the Quran. Quran is our guidance to the straight path. Quran is our map to eternal paradise. That’s why we are obligated to perform solah (prayer) 5 times a day. Solah is our supplication and submission to Allah. It is compulsory for us to recite the 1st chapter of Quran, Surah Al-Fatihah (the opener) in each rakaat (circle) of our solah (prayer). May Allah guide us to the straight path. Ameen…

"And your Lord knows best all who are in the heavens and the earth. And indeed, We have preferred some of the Prophets above others, and to Dawud (David) We gave the Zabur (Psalms)." (Quran 17: 55)

Allah revealed the book of scriptures as guidance. When Allah swt revealed a new scripture, the previous scripture is not reliable anymore. We need to refer to the new scripture. A revelation book should not be edit or corrupt by human being as it will distort Allah’s words. When the book is corrupted, it will deviate the followers into sects. However, only those who firmly follow the book, will enter paradise. Those who corrupt and disobey Allah’s words will be in hellfire.

"Mankind was [of] one religion [before their deviation]; then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed. And none differed over the Scripture except those who were given it - after the clear proofs came to them - out of jealous animosity among themselves. And Allah guided those who believed to the truth concerning that over which they had differed, by His permission. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path." (Quran 2:213)

Quran is the only book of truth. Quran never change since Prophet Muhammad pbuh 1400 years ago. It never be corrupted by any human being. If you compare Quran today with the early century, you will find out that it is similar, nothing change. Not even a dot. However, the contents always fresh and never be outdated. That’s why we need Quran as our guidance. Allah knows the best because He is the creator.

"He has sent down upon you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel." (Quran 3: 3)

Most of the messages in the Quran are direct and precise. However, there are some verses that are unspecific. That’s why we need Hadith as our guidance. Hadith is a collection of traditions containing sayings of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh which, with accounts of his daily practice (the Sunna), constitute the major source of guidance for Muslims apart from the Koran. If you follow the Quran and Hadith, you will never astray from the straight path. Prophet Muhammad pbuh mentioned in his last sermon:

“O People, no prophet or messenger will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words, which I convey to you. I am leaving you with the Book of God (the Quran) and my Sunnah (the life style and the behavioral mode of the Prophet). If you follow them you will never go astray.”

"It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah . But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding. (Quran 3: 7)

Hadith On Deviation Of Religion

Wahb ibn Baqiyyah told us from Khaalid from Muhammad ibn ‘Amr from Abu Salamah from Abu Hurayrah who said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

“The Jews were divided into seventy-one or seventy-two sects, and the Christians were divided into seventy-one or seventy-two sects, and my Ummah will be divided into seventy-three sects.”

This was narrated by Abu Dawood in his Sunan, Kitaab al-Sunnah, Baab Sharh al-Sunnah.
In an other narration, It was reported from Awf ibn Maalik who said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

"The Jews were divided into seventy-one sects, one of which is in Paradise and seventy are in the Fire.
The Christians were divided into seventy-two sects, seventy-one of which are in the Fire and one is in Paradise.
By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, my Ummah will be divided into seventy-three sects, one of which will be in Paradise and seventy-two will be in the Fire."
It was said, O Messenger of Allaah, who are they? He said, "Al-Jamaa’ah."
(Sunan Ibn Maajah, no. 3982.)

Those who firmly follow the books revealed by Allah swt, will enter paradise. InsyaAllah. However, who are we to judge? Only Allah knows.
